COMMISSSION:
A simple structure is used on this site, with stocks and options if executing more than 500 trades monthly there is a set fee of $6.99 per trade, between 10 and 49 executions is $9.99 and less frequent than the mentioned is $12.99 per trade, each of which have an additional $0.75 fee for options contracts. Mutual funds attract no fees unless they are funds subject to transactions, in this instance there is a fee of $19.99.
CUSTOMER SERVICE:
Communication can be made via telephone between 7am and midnight ET, email and the sending of secure messages when signed in to ones account – an option not found on all sites.
WEBSITE & ACCOUNT SECURITY
To show dedication to client and site security a complete protection guarantee is offered, and procedures in place to compliment this include digital security identification, electronic documents, activity alerts via email, and anti virus and firewall software, providing a safe place to educate and trade in your chosen market.
TRADE TOOLS & SERVICES:
A good selection of tools includes quotes, advanced charting, independent research, stock and fund screeners and a selection of analyzers and optimizers as well as 2 separate trading platforms. There are also additional benefits to enhance the site further in the form of seminars, portfolio management, an education centre and the ability to trade alone, or with broker assistance – making this a friendly site for all levels of experience.

E*TRADE offers excellent charts, a great trading engine and is very good in all other aspects. I would not recommend E*TRADE for those that are charged the $40 quarterly account maintenance fee but there are lots of exemptions so most customers will not be charged. E*TRADE is highly recommended.

good platform, many options including bank and global trading. Some of my executions have been slow though and sometimes not filled despite trading better than my limit orders.
