ShareBuilder fails on multiple fronts. The charts are terrible. Research tools are non-existant for basic account holders. Finally, the lack of true limit order trading is a death blow.

COMMISSSION:
The structure of fees is very simple with this site, all real time trades are $9.95, and have an express option of an additional $5.00, mutual funds incur no charges or commissions, and options fees are fixed at $9.95 plus $1.00 per contract. Also the option of phone trading is available, although commission for this is $29.95 per trade, and margin rate discounts have to programs to choose, standard for $12.00 with a rate of 0.25%, or advanced for $20.00 with a rate set at 0.50%. Although not the cheapest site to trade on you know where you stand with your commissions

CUSTOMER SERVICE:
Customer service is quite a basic feature here, with contact being via phone between 8am and 9pm ET, or an email form through the site. A slight benefit to the service is the ability to contact them in the evening after market hours, which not all sites provide.

TRADE TOOLS & SERVICES:
Again a basic feature on site, offering a selection of research tools such as stock finder, investment guide and a stock grade. With services available being market news and education centre – maybe not the best place for anyone wishing to have assistance in their trading, but with the rates is a feasible place for trade execution.

WEBSITE & ACCOUNT SECURITY
The site offers online security in the forms of physical, electronic and procedural safeguards including SSL technology and data encryption which is regularly maintained and updated.

Securites are delisted from trading and are not recognized as a valid listed security meaning you are not able trade.I lost over $500.00 dollars because of this.
